Welcome to Slow - Cooked Architecture
Stop. Stop for a moment and watch a plane cut the sky. At first you will only see something of a white brush over a blue background. That's because you're mind is running too fast in a lot of different directions. Keep watching. You'll slowly start to see the line are actually small clouds made by a made man object. You'll even start seeing the shape of the plane. You'll guess the size and maybe even imagine the people inside it. Where are they coming from? Where are they going?
Over the past years, we here at TwistedDot have started to see and feel some changes in the way architecture and the process of creating it has been shaped by the sometimes overwhelming speed at which society moves. We found out that without necessary wanting to we had to start jumping steps or shorting them.
We feel architecture and architects are starting to drift away and cutting time on studying and detailing the concept fazes a model should go through before becoming a built shape. The same also applies to already built environments that are in need of a contemporary makeover.
We strongly believe good architecture is 80% concept, form study and detailing of it and 20% permitting.
So we are trying to reverse this trend, to hit the brakes on what slowly becomes a race on permitting without actually knowing what next.
That being said, we have created a 10 part manifesto we will try to follow on every architectural project we'll work on.
